To Be instead of To Do

At the end of the day, I crossed everything off my lists but I could not say that this has been a meaningful day for me. Was I purposeful today to myself and to others?  I have been caught up in doing that I forgot that the most important thing is „to be“. To be and connect to yourself and to connect with others on a deeper level.

STOP DOING MINDLESS THINGS
So often, I watch myself doing things that do not matter at all or are so random like checking social media for ages; Taking a look at pictures of people having the best time of their lives. Then I notice that I am still sitting in my room, wearing my joggers, and have not moved for a century.  And that is the best time of my life, right? Sometimes we need these little moments in life where we can just switch off and do not think; I get it we are not robots, we have emotions and we need time to pause. Although it is ok to have these little moments of mindless acts, I started to observe myself to see how I could change the mindless things into something merrier. Doing mindless things is a habit like any other, so you could train yourself to use your time more wisely and to make the best out of it.

life will continuously challenge us with frustrations or negativity, we cannot change that.What we believe though is that we can only be happy as long there are no problems! Now this is a contradiction, right? We want to be happy but life will challenge us as long as we exist? Does that mean we can never be happy - No. we really can be, we just need to learn to be happy.

The expectation of my life and how great it is supposed to be never catches the truth of the reality I live in. The people I encounter everyday have their own dreams and wishes but I tend to be too selfish to listen.
 
I wish that everyone could just stop for a few minutes every day and sense the environment we live in.
