We all have these moments in life, where we are just wondering how other people seem to be so happy whilst we are struggling to combine jobs, education and the everyday life we have. Why do feel that way? We start feeling down or unhappy, or at least that is the way that I do. I always try to remember that it is completely fine to not feel happy at all times. We are all human beings and life gives all of us situations, where you simply face unpleasant moments. 

The realisation I made throughout the years is that we cannot control the things that happen in our lives. We are not in control of our surroundings. The power that we do have is to determine how we think about them. We can influence our minds to begin seeing a positive outcome out of the bad vibes we get. The fact is that life will continuously challenge us with frustrations or negativity, we cannot change that. So as long as we exist, life will give us challenges and they will be there; no matter what you do. 

What we believe though is that we can only be happy as long there are no problems! Now this is a contradiction, right? We want to be happy but life will challenge us as long as we exist? Does that mean we can never be happy – No. we really can be, we just need to learn to be happy. Being happy is not so much of a feeling, it is a state of mind. We are in the power to influence our minds to become more optimistic instead of feeling frustrated or unhappy. Do not start hoping that one day you will be happy or that happiness will knock at your door. 

Besides the circumstances, you can choose to be happy with your life at any time given, it only depends on our minds DECIDING to be happy with what we have and where we are right now. So we learn to be happy and positive at all times.
